Story
This Danvers colonial had the timeless character of a classic New England home, but the homeowners wanted to create more space to enjoy the outdoors and make the exterior feel more welcoming.
The project began with the addition of a new farmer’s porch, designed to complement the home’s colonial style while adding charm, depth, and everyday function to the front of the house. With clean white columns, warm porch decking, and traditional details, the new porch creates an inviting place to sit, gather, and enjoy the home from the outside.
To complete the outdoor living experience, we added a new patio and walkway that connect the porch to the surrounding landscape. The hardscape gives the home a more finished look while improving flow around the exterior.
We also added a three-season porch with a vaulted ceiling, giving the homeowners a comfortable, covered space to relax and entertain through more of the year. Together, the farmer’s porch, patio walkway, and three-season porch transformed the home’s exterior into a more usable, welcoming, and connected living space.
