Creating Contemporary, Communal Family Space

When Becky and Mike Oliver bought their home in Wayland, they knew they would be renovating. The kitchen was closed off from the living area and the décor did not reflect the Oliver’s contemporary aesthetic. As parents of two young children, the couple wanted a more communal space that integrated family time with food preparation and eating. Becky and Mike wanted the flowing space to echo the woods surrounding their home by incorporating stained woods and clean lines.
